This tutorial shows you the real beauty of 3D Typography. If you can get a hold of Xara-3D, I definitely recommend getting it and learning how to use it. As you will see in this tutorial, you basically create the shaping of the text in Xara. Then import the text into photoshop to modify and decorate.

New Feature!
Well I was taking a shower the other night and since I do lots of “in depth thinking” in the shower I came to the question; “how can I get the viewers of NHD more involved?” OH I GOT IT! I can get things set up so that they can register and become a member of the site then they can post their own tutorials for the public to see!
So I sat down and began working on a plan so that you all can register for the site and start posting your own tutorials. I’m still working on a few moderation details but most of the main parts are done.
That being said…You are now able to register on this site and begin posting. Here is a brief summary on how you can go about getting registered and setup.

Step 1) First scroll to the top of the home page until you see the login/register button. Then click “Register”

Step 2) Create your desired username and enter your valid E-mail address.

Step 3) Go to your E-mail. You will see an E-mail titled “Wordpress” with [nexthotdesigner.com] as the subject headline. Open it and select your password, Copy your password. Then click on the link below to login.

Step 4) Enter your username and paste the password that was in the E-mail and login.

Step 5) Now you want to change your password to something that you will remember. To do this click on the “Your Profile” tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom and type in your new password and click “Update Profile”

Now you are ready to begin posting your tutorials. Feel free to put your website link in the post somewhere. Just don’t spam. It’s not hard at all for me to delete spammy posts! I don’t mind you giving yourself credit for the tutorial, By all means post your website for free advertising but don’t abuse it!
WOO! HOO!
Over time nexthotdesigner.com has been accumulating more and more daily visitors. It has now reached PR1 (page rank 1). Almost every image on the site is now indexed in googles.com/images AKA Google Images. So why is this so important? Well this means that more and more spiders are being sent out from search engines to our website. These spiders are taking bits and pieces from the website and bringing them back to the major search engines. The search engines are indexing (storing) these pieces of our website and sending the spiders back for more.
In english, Google and other major search engines are interested in our website and want more of it!
So in an action to all of this I got a new theme for the site. It’s a little more “professional” looking, and gives the website a better reflection. I am also taking off the big sidebar banners full of ads and placing them in a different location so it don’t look so cluttered.
I will slowly work on upgrades to the website and keep everyone updated. Also, now that we are back in full motion you all will definitely see more and more tutorials posted each day.

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, we have not been updating the site for a while now. We had a few problems. However everything is fixed and back to normal now. You will begin to see daily updates again.

Simple header design
Headers are a “must have” in web design. I see so many crappy header designs out there I feel like pulling my hair out!
You have to think of it this way… When you first visit a website what is the first thing you see? THE HEADER! If you have some half put together header that looks like trash you might as well put on a mask and say “boo” to every visitor and scare them away from your website.
